    Carbon Ceramic Filter

The Carbon Ceramic Water Filter is currently one of the best all-in-one filters available on the market.

The Carbon Ceramic filter had revolutionized the design of domestic water filters. It combines the attributes of a KDF filter with that of an Ultra Filtration membrane resulting in a single filter that removes chlorine, heavy metals, and bacteria. This filter allows you to create a small system that is on par with much larger more complicated water filter systems.

Basically adding this filter to an inexpensive filter such as a Double Counter Top changes it from a system that just removes chlorine to a system that gives you near bottle water quality.

Also please note that in situations where there are very fine particles in the source water, the ceramic filter may block up more quickly. And the pours may remain blocked despite washing the surface of the cartridge. In these cases, the filter's lifespan will be greatly reduced and it will need to be replaced more frequently.

If you wish to order the ceramic filter as a replacement for a previous ceramic cartridge, please ensure that you have carefully checked the size between your previous ceramic cartridge and other 10" Ceramic Filter before placing an order.

Filtershop cannot be held responsible if the incorrect size cartridge is ordered.

    10" Ceramic Cartridge's dimensions are 25cm x 5.5cm.

    Benefits:

    • The Carbon Ceramic Filter is effective at removing or reducing the following:

      •  Asbestos

      •  Dirt and Algae

      •  Heavy Metals (Lead, Arsenic, Mercury)

      •  Chemicals (Chlorine, Pesticides)

      •  Microorganisms (Bacteria, Parasites)

      •  Taste & smells great

    • The technology of ceramic water filters is a simple yet sophisticated technology and it is very easy to install.

    • The water filter is small in size but is capable of purifying 5 000 – 6 000 Litters of water and during the process of purification, many undesirable elements are removed as is demonstrated by the table below. This about one year’s usage.

    • Ceramic Filter retains the natural minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium that are very helpful to the human body.

    • It has a one year (12 Months) lifespan.

    Keep in Mind:

    • One of the major disadvantages of a ceramic water filter is its inability to remove hardness also known as Lime or "Kalk".

    • There is always a risk of “nearly invisible” hairline cracks developing in the brittle ceramic candle, which can result in contamination.

    • The flow rate of the filter will drop dramatically if it isn’t cleaned regularly, the need for this is however greatly reduced by placing a 1 or 5 Micron filter before the Carbon ceramic thus preventing larger particles from reaching the filter.
