4. First Flush Diverter: The First Flush Diverter allows the first initial rain off the roof to go to the drain, taking most of the dust and bird droppings from the roof with it. This helps prevent them from gathering in your storage tank and potentially causing nitrate build-up inside the storage tank.

8. 90 Degree 75/80mm Elbow.
9. 480mm Filter Tank Mesh: Captures finer particles that may get through the Rainhead's mesh, it also allows the tank to capture additional rainwater that falls directly onto the tank.
10. Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Booster Pump and Connector Kit (Optional): A pressure pump for pushing water from the water storage tank to the irrigation system or garden hose. Keep in mind that you will require an electrical point available to power the pump. This pump can be supplied by Filtyershop, or alternatively, you can source your own booster pump. Filtershop has three main Booster Pump Options.
11. Triple Big Blue System (1um, 0.1um, & Siliphos Cartridge): The 1 Micron Cartridge will remove the fine dirt and color from the water. The 0.1um Pleated Filter will capture organisms and bacteria from the water. The final stage is a Siliphos cartridge, one potential problem with using rainwater for household usage is that because it does not have any mineral content (or buffers) present, the water can become “corrosive”. This can be a problem for households with galvanized or copper piping and/or fittings, as the water can cause them to corrode. The Big Blue Housing contains Siliphos, which will dissolve and coat the inside of the pipes helping to prevent corrosion from occurring.
12. Please Note that the piping and fittings from the storage tank to the irrigation system/garden hose are not supplied by Filtershop. This will need to be sourced and supplied by the installer on site.
13. Silver Under the Counter RO System for Drinking water (Optional): The two biggest concerns for rainwater when it comes to drinking are bacterial content, and high nitrate levels (caused by bird droppings). High Nitrate content can be especially dangerous for small children, as it can cause a condition known as “blue baby” syndrome. The most effective method we have available to remove nitrates from drinking water is Reverse Osmosis (RO). 14. Arkal Disc Filter (Optional): Adding an Arkal disc filter after the pressure pump, will help to remove finer sediment and dirt from the water. Especially recommended, if you are connecting the setup to a sprinkler system, as the finer particles could lead to blockage of the sprinkler heads. The Arkal disc filters are cleanable units and do not require replacement cartridges.
15. In-Tank Germicidal UV Light (Optional): The UV light helps to neutralize and prevent the growth of bacteria inside of the storage tank. Please Note that the germicidal light will require an electrical source to operate.
16. Gutter Mesh (Optional): The gutter mesh helps to cover your gutters, preventing them from becoming blocked up with leaves and other debris. The gutter mesh is available in lengths of 5.5m and is 160mm wide. Be sure to check your gutters are not too wide for the mesh.
17. Inline Stainless Steel Ultra Violet (UV) Light 40w / 2700LPH (Optional): The S/S UV Light would be installed after the Big Blue System and would help to further neutralize bacterial content in the rainwater before it enters the household.
