Point of use (POU) water dispensers

These dispensers do not require any bottle and connect directly to the main water source.

The direct line Point of Use (POU) cap has a level float which controls the water coming into the water dispenser.

When the water level inside the dispenser drops the float opens the valve allowing more water into the dispenser and when the dispenser fills with water the float closes the valve.

    Benefits:

    • No Bottle required.
    • Filling done automatically.
    • Water dispenser will give you hot and cold water.
    • The addition of an OPTIONAL inline filter system will mean that dispenser will be producing filtered water.
    • The Direct Line POU Cap fits several different types of water dispensers.

    Keep In mind

    •  Some basic plumbing knowledge will be required to install the POU Dispenser, however, a normal plumber should be able to install the dispenser without a problem.
    • The dispenser does not have any type of filtration system internally, so the quality of the water coming out will be same as the source. If you want to have filtered water, you will need to select an inline filter system for between the source and dispenser.
    • The Direct Line POU Cap ideally should be run with 3 bars of water pressure and can handle a maximum of 6 bars. If your water pressure is higher than 6 bar a pressure reducing valve is strongly recommended otherwise leakage will occur.
    • Please note that it is recommended to clean the inside of the dispenser once every 6 months, it simply requires removing the POU cap and washing the inside of the dispenser with Milton or Jik.

    Optional Filter Systems:

The water dispensers do not come standard with a water filter, however, you can place a filter system between the source water and the dispenser.

Filter system Option 1: Double Stage Filter System (Sediment and KDF 55 Filter)

    • Stage 1 - The Sediment filter will remove sand, dirt, mud, rust and other large visible particles in the water.
    • Stage 2 - The KDF cartridge will remove chlorine, organic molecules, and some heavy metals. The Cartridge also inhibits the growth of bacteria, extending the life spans of the filters.

*Keep in mind that this system will not remove bacteria or microorganisms from the water.

Filter system Option 2: Triple Stage Filter System (Sediment, KDF, & 0.2 microns Pleated Filter)

    • Stage 3 - The 0.2 micron Pleated Filter will capture fine particles and bacteria.

Filter system Option 3: Reverse Osmosis system with Booster pump

The reverse Osmosis system will remove 98% of contaminants from water, including bacteria, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, chlorine, rust, and sediments.

The RO is a 5 stage system:

    • Stage 1 - The Sediment filter will remove sand, dirt, mud, rust and other large visible particles in the water.
    • Stage 2 - The Granular activated carbon filter will absorb chlorine and organic molecules from the water, improving the taste and odor of the water.
    • Stage 3 - The Activated carbon block will absorb any remaining chlorine, as well as capture any carbon that may come loss during the filtering process.
    • Stage 4 - Reverse Osmosis Membrane removes bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, parasites, viruses, minerals and kalk.
    • Stage 5 - Taste and odor filter removes any remaining organic molecules.

    Keep in mind:

The RO system will require a connection to a drain point. As the RO unit is filtering to such a fine level the membrane needs to continually flush itself as it runs in order to prevent the membrane from becoming blocked, this results in waste water. The waste water ratio can be as high as 4:1 so for every 1 liter of clean water produced by the RO, as much as 4 liters can be lost down the drain.

You can find more information on the under the counter RO at this link.
