Seakoo SPV750F - Stainless Steel Submersible Pump
Submersible Pumps (also called sump pumps) are centrifugal pumps that are normally installed in a sump pit, pond, bucket, or collection point. The Stainless Steel Submersible Pump uses an impeller (disc with fan-like fins) and centrifugal force to draw water in through spaces in its pedestal, and push it out its outlet. They are designed to draw water out of the sump, or collection point, and then sends the water to another point such as a garden or collection tank.
An example of where a Submersible pump can be used is in houses or buildings that have lower levels that are below the waterline (for example underground parking or a basement) and tends to flood especially during heavy rains. The pump can be installed in a "sump pit" which would collect the water, and the pump would then push the water up and out a "drainage" pipe to either a garden or a collection tank.
The submersible pump works with a level float, which activates the pump when the water rises up to a certain level, then deactivates once the water drops below a certain level.
